I have heard that tarkov uses signature detection, meaning that no matter how short a period u cheat for, or how long ago it was, u will get account banned. I dont know how true this is but would like to know.

It depends on the type of cheat you use. But generally speaking your account might be fine on BE, until the specific shellcode gets sent to you. This happens at random or w/e but this is also why some users can use obviously detected cheats for longer periods of time.
