[Question] Banned in MW2, does this also apply to console?

Hi community, if I get banned and this account is linked to a PlayStation account, does the ban apply to PlayStation as well or can I just remove my PlayStation account from Activision and add a new one. Is the ban then gone, or will the new account also be banned, which means a new PlayStation account is needed?

with an active ban, you cannot unlink any accounts.

I had the exact same issue, where my activision account got permanently banned on console and I couldn’t link a new activision account cause i was unable to unlink my banned account. However i managed to delete my banned activision account, so now i was able to link a new activision to my PlayStation account. I still have to check if i can play on ps5 with this new account.
