Starting reselling

So i've been looking into reselling and im wondering is it ilegal if yes can i do something against it so i wont get caught?

For reselling you ofc need the permission of the rightful owner. If he gives his permission you can start.

Not in a way that you will be prosecuted by the government, but a game company can sue you. There is high chance if you are a resident of the US, else low.
