I'm not one to spam with useless threads, but i've googled the shit out of this and found no valid results.

I am running as administrator, tried compatibility and still not working.

(I use the hidden administrator account on Windows7).

Any ideas?

I see you're Administrator post, but have you tried to right click and "run as administrator"?

Also, ever try moving it to a user-editable (regardless of needing admin privileges or not) folder, to see if that works as a quick and temporary workaround?

Edit: Your issue is weird, as I am running Win7 Ulti x64, running as a "member" of Admin, UAC off, and have never run into that issue with any program. D;

Tried it, still not working.

I've tried it with 2 different downloads of the 5017 client, same both times.

Thanks anyway, if anyone else has a solution please post.

Need this fixed as i'm working on a 5017 source..

Did you try running it in compatibility mode?
Windows XP SP3

That should fix it. If it doesn't, then use the client in the sticky thread on the discussion page.

What kind of question is that?

Have you tried using a different account, maybe not "Administrator", but an account in the Administrator group? D;

Why the hell would i uninstall windows 7?

EDIT:

I think it's because of AVG, everytime i extract the client i get a virus report but i click ignore and then Conquer.exe doesn't work.

Can anyone verify that its a AVG problem?

I had a similar problem with Avira, can you try again after disabling AVG and let us know how it goes?

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] is a really really good one. It ranks like... in the top 10 of the world? I use it and I haven't gotten a virus since. It's the best one I've ever had. I'm using it with Windows 7 too and it works great with my private server. I provided the link in the name.

Glad to hear it's resolved!
