just take away all the effects and you should be fine reduces lag upto 80% to do this simply follow this:
1. Go to your ini folder in your CO folder
2. find 3Deffect make a copy and store it somewhere else (backup to get your effects back)
3. open the 3Deffect file in the CO folder and press Alt+A (Select all) and then delete everything.
4. save changes (so now your 3Deffect file is just blank) load up CO all effects are no longer showing, therefore reducing almost all the lag
Hope that helped ;)

that's the idea, u dont see the effect therefore it reduces the lag ;) Try going tg with effect and without u'll notice significant difference

If I understood him right... He's not trying to get rid of the lag even...Just to reduce the amount of packets since he needs to pay for the packets (incoming traffic) So just taking away those 3d effects won't help him at all...I think

would be nice but theres nothing I know of that can do that.. taking off the effects doesnt help unless ur comp is a bloody 486 and cant handle CO's lame graphics even when I remove them I still get same if not more lag because the info is still being received... and pretty sure if there was a way to only recieve what you wanted and blocked others you'd prolly just disconnect..

Yes. Lets take an example to clear this whole thing out (then a mod can lock this hopefully) There is a topic here (*HOT* Decrypting....) There they talk about those two counters, If you dont get everypacket back and forth the counters will get messed up which (I think) will get you disconnected. Someone have a better idea let me know
