What's going on with Private Servers?

NOTE: IM TALKING COMPLETELY FROM MY OWN PRESPECTIVE AND FROM MY OWN POINT OF VIEW, AS A PLAYER AND AS A SERVER OWNER.

So, What went down with private servers in the past period?

back in the days, Servers were so eager to make new content and develop new stuff and they thrived because of that. I just don't see that anymore. Even the OG Players and the authentic ones are running away at the moment from such gameplay or such experience

Players(Hate calling them that tbh) are super spoiled now that all private servers now are nothing but money milking / guilds milking owners' money

And this makes me feel really bad. I'm not being racist or anything but The issues i see right now that are destroying this community are the following:

1-Currently , Every Server now is either created by Egyptian or Turkish Owners. These owners some of them are very very very good and they are literally working so hard making perfect servers . And the majority unfortunately are nothing but money milkers. Also Egyptian & Turkish players especially are the ones who ruined this community. by just being greedy looking for money instead of enjoying the game. I'm not saying all of them do that, but the majority are. (And I am egyptian so i'm talking from deep inside the community itself)

2- Every single server right now is depending on Open-Market system which is a destruction to everything I've seen in this game.

3- The guild deals and that literally every single guild is looking for money instead of playing a specific server for competition or fun nevertheless.

4- Servers have now become a money milking simulator that gets done over and over again. People create servers , milk people then shuts it down after 1-2 months. Once that is done correctly, they use fake names and create other servers and the players are in that loophole forever.

5- Players now have this stupid retarded stereotype where they see any server no matter how good or functional it is, If it doesn't have 1,000+ Players then its dead and not worth it. I know many server owners that spent THOUSANDS on their amazing content and providing people with new content and they are being washed because of the other servers that do deals and uses open market.


The conclusion here is. Silkroad community became shitty and really stupid. It became a business instead of a game which contradicts what REAL players are looking for. and most servers became a stereotype and the majority of the people (Im not going to call them players because they are not) actually likes it.

I wish we can do something about it but I guess its too late.

As a new player I can say what's bad: there are very few guides how to play the game. If there were more guides there would be more players, new players get stomped by experienced ones. Proper FW guide, FGW, strategies, jobbing, how to job properly and so on, not just take caravan and etc. but more (if there is more). Builds, how to level up very quickly like experienced players. You could come together as a community and create guides, more competition - more fun. If people get educated it will be more fun. New players will come. Maybe will stay a bit. New players quit because they dont want to mess around. It's fun at first to explore, but later they want to be like top pvp players. They don't know how to do it. How to be a top player. That's my 2 cents.

We are talking about a dead game,a game created for grind and cold out strategy that work if you know them,you try something differend you end up being owned,there is little to nothing new,its normal that people don't enjoy this anymore,the only way this game can revive is by being revamped completely or by being created again in a new day by day engine .

Well in my opinion PSRO was fine until unions like Futu, GW, EG and whatever showed up.
At the beginning there were no significant problems until these monkeys developed this game into a war between eachother.
Whenever these joined the server you could literally start to count down.
They ruined the relaxed gameplay of every smaller group by overwhelming them in PvP or FW.
It wasn't about having fun to win something, it was a competition to show everyone how strong these apes are.
Once they figured they are a big part of a server, they started to threaten server owners by leaving if you aren't following their orders.
I dont know which moron started to pay them to join their server but this was the beginning of something stupid which is the basement of todays servers.
I don't even want to mention that the community is completely spoiled.
Too many different servers with a huge range of different features developed a greed for all possible features combined in one. They would never appreciate the work you have done unless you made their dream server.
But whatever..
I'm looking back on good memories with great people from the past :)

Modern Silkroad reminds me of those shitty gacha mobile games you see (I.E AFK Arena, Mythic Heroes). Everybody is racing for the top 10 power spot on a new server, which includes whaling, or otherwise known as spending a ridiculous amount of money. Within 1 month, the game has released 3 new servers to rinse & repeat.

Stop buying shit in-game and you'll quickly notice how the game will become less money orientated. When you have guilds upon guilds eagerly waiting to join in on a $$ spending dick swinging contest, it's hard to vision a future where Silkroad doesn't require any donation to gain an advantage over a free-to-play player.

This game was initially created to take you a minimum of two/three years to reach cap, botting or hand grinding hours every single day (even longer when 110+ cap was introduced on iSRO). I remember the times when I was a 13 year old, sat on my desk for hours upon hours spamming down ENTER hoping I could get into a FULL iSRO server. Once I saw that black screen appear and the character login screen, you'd get a high dose of dopamine to celebrate your achievement.

Nowadays, if you don't join a server and drop $300 on launch day, you're already at a massive disadvantage to at least half of the player base who have donated. People have full sets within a week, economy is ruined by trading with silk only, and overall the game becomes miserable. But don't worry, within 3 weeks, you'll get a brand new, REVAMPED, REVISED, V2, SEASON 4 server to do all that shit over again.

The game was designed & created with one thing in mind, money - and that will ultimately be the downfall of the game, which already started a while ago when people started to fake player counts.

Yeah this shit became really sad for such a nice game and also the thing that pisses me off is that some people thinks that all what has been discussed here is nonsense...

Nothing from what you've said is new or started to happen lately, its been happening since years. I've shared my opinion previously regarding similar issues and it all comes down to that everyone is trying to make some money here.

Personally Silkroad for me is dead as a player and as a service provider, its just not worth the time anymore. Its all up to nostalgia now. Occasionally I and some of my guild mates whom we have grown up together playing this game would like to play the game for a little and catch up together, so we end up choosing a server that we know is not pay to win, you don't need to grind 24/7 since all of us are having work and families at this point, and it would just provide us with an easy and familiar system. And we actually do know which ones to join which is never any of those 1 month server and it ends up with us having the time and fun we needed and that's all. But chasing after all those servers with their new and complicated grindy systems and new features and so on is just not worth it for any of us. The numbers for us doesn't matter, we do even prefer botting servers where those stupid "competitive" limits and features doesn't exist, and those servers that we know and join do have like 100 or 200 players maximum and its more fun than those servers who claims and do sometimes have 8k or so players.

My advice is to have fun, stop chasing those worthless servers, they are worthless for your time and would make the money that you spend there worthless too. There are so many other options in this scene that offers you almost a non pay to win experience, long term servers and actually people who are around just to enjoy the game and have some banter and a good experience.

As I remember it many years back, didn't all the major unions join YOUR server (Levitation)? :confused:

Well just as expected from an immature kid of one of these mentioned guilds..
It's obvious that these unions joined my server, otherwise i wouldn't leave that kind of feedback.
You guys are not the ones who gave a server a name. The servers gave you a name.

I think, the elitepvpers admins should support such server.
There are servers, which work 24/7 and not getting up.
Maybe elitepvpers admins should open a new topic on private servers which are donation free.
A real play to win system only works without donation, or at least only pay for skin.

The thing is that like I said most of the guilds and server owners (Which differs from 10-15 owners that created almost all the servers that we know) have actually destroyed the gaming experience that we all wanted. No more content, nothing but guilds and money-milking owners around nowadays.
