Need help making a test Server...

SO i tried to make a little pserver just to test out all the GM stuff^^
i used the tutorial of Zero

1. i installed SQL server 2005 express
2. i installed SQL server 2005 management suit
3. i loaded Zero's "SHAIYA SERVER LITE" files

now i made all he said but when i go to the step "Run all Server Services", the services run but pause after some seconds...


my question:
- do i have to set anything in SQL ? if yes, how?
- do i have to do anything Zero didn't state clearly in his tut. ?

also a point i dont get...
Zero wrote "Open PSM_Server/PSM_ServiceMgr.exe"

but in my PSM_Server directory is no such a file :confused:

I had the same problem, i think yours might be what mine was and that you need sql 2008 to be compatible with windows 7... but thats only if you have windows 7...

im using good old win-xp ^^


however i messed up with my stuff a bit and got pretty much all to work..
so far my server is running with ep4, i made a game.exe for it and i can login...

but once i choose my server and enter it, it says CLIENT VERSION DOESNT MATCH
im using latest US game.exe incl. the patch from some days ago where they improved caelum sacra and all that... maybe i need an older game.exe ?


anyone got a game.exe working with the ep4 server files posted in this forum?

You have to type /vchkoff as a command for the login everytime you restart the services.
