Mindset of Users

//Just to preface my post, this is not some sort of vigilante investigative journalism post, just a genuine inquiry. Thought I'd add this considering the current uproar in EFT.

After reading through the different threads and better understanding the opinions of many, I have been left with a question that I cannot figure out. Is the common agreement amongst this community that the ban is coming eventually?

It seems like whether it's a day or a year, does everyone expect the ban? I am aware that certain playstyles really put a cap on an accounts lifespan, but generally speaking, what are peoples takes on this.

For example, if someone were to use a well-known public cheat that many vouch for, without stating names, avoiding all PVP and rage features what can they expect as far as maintaining a single account?

Unless the cheat (and/or spoofer) youre using gets detected you wont get banned, every cheat is gonna get detected at some point. If you are lucky, you make your own cheat or you get a dma cheat you can cheat for YEARS without a single ban

This is assuming youre not playing like a maniac

Let me ask, does detection only happen if you are actively using the software as well as actively playing? So say a big-name cheat gets detected, does that mean hundreds if not thousands, are going to get banned?

When a cheat gets detected theres usually a few weeks where every account gets flagged but not banned, after like 3 or 4 weeks every account that used the cheat while its been detected will get banned

If a big cheat gets detected everyone will be banned, unless its a partial detecion when maybe only a single feature causes some users to get banned, there also could be some settings/things on the actual computer that only some users had (like defender blocking parts of the bypass)

That makes sense. Since you seem quite knowledgeable on this subject can I throw a few more questions your way? I hear talks about 2pc, does this mitigate risk at all?

I gave a prior a example and I'd like to expand on it a little further. When avoiding PvP and just using walls for quests, is there a particular service you'd recommend? I would prefer to use my main EOD account, but I am unsure if this is wise or just a suicide mission.

Yeah, you cheat and take the risk that eventually you might get banned at some point. Sooner or later the banhammer will always hit.

Same as with speeding. You speed with the risk to get caught and pay the price for it.

There is so many detection vectors that any AC can use.
Even if your cheat is self made or extremely private there is still a chance your cheat gets hit as well probably the AC did not even change any thing to target you specifically but you go down as collateral damage.

And yes cheating comes with the risk of getting banned better accept it or not cheat and keep your account safe :)

If you use a dma card 2pc is probably your best option if you want to stay ud for a long time

Only cheat on your account if you dont care about it being banned, if you want to cheat check out xenos' list. The safest way to cheat would be with a dma device, like I already said
Id say yes tho, cheat on your main but in the end itll be your decision

Absolutely, I agree with this 100%. I appreciate the feedback. I was just curious to see if people thought there was a sense of doom looming over them. If using cheese long-term there are a lot of benefits in a game like EFT. But if accounts are just getting banned it gets very expensive and almost seems like a waste of time. Not sure how you feel about this...

Fair enough, I appreciate it.

The mantra that holds true with every game when it comes to cheating. I guess I was trying to gauge how risky it is in this game compared to others that I am familiar with. Some games are genuinely just a ticking time bomb when it comes to banning, wanted to see if that held true with EFT.

What do you guys think of timing? For example if you cheated last wipe, stayed UD and took a break from the game, then that cheat gets detected this wipe. Do you think you’re safe or will companies retroactively scan and flag for ban wave?
