DMA devices

Looking to get into the cheese game with a DMA build have my old pc ready to go, wondering besides compatibility with certain solutions does the DMA device itself matter, IE are so more reliable/less detectable, or do they all function relatively the same. Looking at devices from many manufactures and talking with solution providers that recommend 3-500€ devices while I can see other devices that they say are comparable in the 2-300€ range.

If I understand correctly some cards have more throughput than others, a big point probably also is if they already come with a custom firmware flashed onto them. I also heard that some card can run into overheating problems

Personally have a Raptor which works very well, but they're no longer sold unfortunately.

Seen LeetDMA/LurkerDMA/Lambda Squirrel in action and they all work just fine.

There's some chinese cards (AceDMA/RangerDMA iirc?) that seem OK (they're sold cheap af), but not sure how good their quality control is. They're basically Lambda Squirrels rebranded.

You could get something higher throughput like an Enigma, but in my experience it's not 100% necessary -- If the DMA Software is at least decently optimized, cards like the Lambda Squirrel should work just fine. I would beware of software that anyone requires you to get a faster card.

DMA Cards are typically highly interchangeable between different types of PCILeech Based DMA Software with very little issues.

Which custom firmware are you using if you do not mind me asking?

In that case, it is one of the most expensive DMA boards, since the cost + CFW raises the price a lot.
