Not really "useless" since the Activisions are old, have a bunch of time played on them in other CODs, and often have the battle pass purchased in Warzone 2 and legit stats (some people have already quit warzone 2)
It def helps with the overall trust factor and it's def better than a brand new fresh acti you just made if you're going to be cheating on it.
The age of the battlenet does indeed matter but it's nearly impossible to find old, unlinked battlenets as back in the day before Activision cracked down, most people botted their battlenets because it was easy and nothing ever really happened, nowadays botted accounts get hit in ban waves very quickly and very often.
Basically having an aged Activision and a new battlenet is better than just having both a new Activision AND a new Battlenet.
