I don't care about proof m8. That's not my point. Regardless of what you show me or how convincing you are, I have ALWAYS had an issue. It's either, they are legit but make constant excuses and have insane delays. Or they are a scammer. The way I look at it, if my project is relatively simple and not that insane, I shouldn't have to make a downpayment. Like at all. Because say for instance, I pay you 400 bucks. Well that is pretty easy money, and at this point, the coder has two choices, either run away and take the money, or take your sweet ass time with it, do a piss pooor job, and not really give a shit. It's very easy for a coder legit or not, to screw you over. At least if a Coder does take their sweet ass time, you didn't waste any money.
You coders need a sense of urgency... You need to treat these requests like a job... Like how you would treat a customer in retail or fast food for example.
Without incentive or a level of PERSONAL trust, it's absolutely absurd to expect a random person to pay 400 dollars for literally nothing. And in my experience, this is how I always get bit in the ass. so if you wanna work together, that is the requirement. and if you don't like it, I think that just proves my point. I'll happily go find someone else. I already have once before, but people like that are extremely rare. and you gotta find the right people who truly have common sense.
