I'm not sure if you read my whole post but I don't think I didn't say some other things other than Oculus, right?
I'm quite sure I said something about a new OS by Google, didn't I?

Fyi, AR has more than one form, the first one is projecting graphics into transparent lenses and the second one is the one advertised in project cambria's trailer and with the second form it's extremely easy to be a VR headset as well and my guess is (for now until further information is revealed) the OS will be designd for the second form since there must be a space for internal hardware

I'm not sure if you are really serious about what you are talking about or you are just too new to the gaming and scene in general.

Lets not talk about Silkroad here since this is a different topic but I'll mention it later on for you. Anyway, the VR scene have been around for over a decade now and it its no where near or even close to take over the PC and the console gaming scene. Simply because the technology itself is still so immature and at the current time its all based on hype created by some companies while the reality is that these companies are far behind of having any achievements in that area too.

Don't get me wrong, I've played a lot of VR myself, but the development rate of games and the technology is way too slow and it won't be magically booming just because Meta and Google announced that they are working on projects related to it.

As I can also see from your previous comments on this thread I can see that you don't really know about the necessary VR equipment to have a decent experience. If you are really going with anything other than an Oculus or a Vive then you are just fooling yourself, and guess what, for you to have those a long with their accessories and sensors you will be paying a big buck which not everyone is having and is ready to spend it for such a technology. Not mentioning the need for a good room space to use such a device.

Silkroad, well. I'll still generalize it a bit. PC and console gaming is not getting replaced by VR so the death of Silkroad got nothing to do with VR at all. PC gaming is here to stay for a long long time and VR won't take any of that market share anytime soon.
