[Help] Certifier.exe

04/28/2022 13:28 pepeton#1
Hello again, I have setup my game files in VPS hosting thru remote server.

Operating System: Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition x64

After everything such as installing VS, SQL (Express, ODBC, Studio), Direct9, Configured .ini, Set IP, Rebuild neuz, etc (I did not miss anything and have it tested in my personal PC and tried also my laptop result is working)

I am encountering a problem in VPS server where the Certifier.exe is closing automatically once you open it up without error log. I have contacted the support but they don't know anything about it.

Any idea what seems the problem here?

I am using Guru Ultimate source but modified. It was all ready and of course tested by me and some of beta testers thru hamachi so now I have decided to launch it in VPS hosting thru remote. After everything with the installation when I am gonna run the server the Certifier.exe won't just open and closes immediately. No error log so I can't really tell why.

Hyper V
Ram: 4GB
Processor: 2 Cores

But I'm not gonna play it there, I will just run the server files over there.

That's a pretty poor excuse.

Windows Server needs 2gb of ram with a desktop installation alone.
World Server itself uses around 1.5 - 2gb of ram.

SQL has no ram as it's being used by everything else.
Apache/Website has no ram as it's being used by everything else.
The other servers needed to run has no ram as it's being used by everything else.

For 14$ a month you can get a vps from contabo with 8gb of ram.

Even looking here you can find cheaper and better vps's then your using.

If you expect to run a server then you shouldn't be cheap about it. :rollsafe:

Sorry but I have to dissagree, I have run a server on a much weaker specs on a laptop, works fine 4gb is enough for a few players.

Questions:
Do you start the programs in the correct orders?
AccountServer
Certifier
DatabaseServer
CoreServer
LoginServer
CacheServer
WorldServer

What was the latest changes you made?

Suggestions:
If it is working on another computer but not on the VPS then you would probably have to check firewall settings.

Get another VPS

Debug.

Hi, I have now upgraded my plan to 8gb ram and 4 cores but I still face the same problem where Certifier.exe closes immediately.

Certifier.ini
PHP Code:
DSN_NAME_LOGIN    "login"
DB_PWD_LOGIN    "my db pass"
I tried turning off all settings in firewall and still the same.

I did not touch anything with the system or anything and I have tested it on my PC and it is completely working before I uploaded it in my VPS server.

the main problem is the Guru v19 Ultimate source files. We have tested it on OVH but it has too many bugs and crashes. better start from scratch
