I bought a custom PC today, So I'm going to open it up for hosting.

IF I AM HOSTING FOR SOMEBODY, DO NOT POST THAT YOU WANT A HOST

Don't say I'm trying to steal your server, i could easily make my own if i wanted to, to much hassle to manage my own.

hmm Pentium 4 3.0GHz score 7.2, i see WEI editing in here.no offense it does not make sense.

that's the score it gave me believe it or not, i thought it was rather high as well

it is a custom built PC after all, so the ratings are going to be high =P

Um... it doesn't take much memory and CPU to host a server. The most important is your connection speed. But it seems you didn't post any information of that.

cbf to run a speedtest right now, but I'm running off a network hub.

I receive about 120mb download, 50mb upload.

That's enough for hosting .. stupid of course, as I believe it is this computer used for Hosting and personal use.

It would be better if a separate computer (server) would be designed for hosting then I would cut my Windows XP on it. Have a notebook personal computer and a server. with XP on it, .. and graphics shit turned down completely.

And the computer could then run in 24 hours what a hosting service is most important.

I already have got all the db file add me in msn to talk about that !

I did not talk about a question of hosting in there, i just said a pentium 4 3.0 cannot do 7.2 score, the most i saw with overclocking was 5.0, thats all, of course to host a tiny server its enough
