[Release]Light Map Generator

What is it?

The light map generator is a utility that works in tandem with [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] to create the illusion of shadows and lighting.

Where do I get it?

How do I use it?

Much of my experience with this utility is limited to a few test cases while I was compiling a researching it. This information may be incomplete or incorrect. Please leave a post if you find any inconsistencies.

First you will need to visit the 'Natural Setting' tab of NFMapEdit.

If you are loading a map with existing lighting you will need to actually press 'Load' before attempting any edits

Set your lights as desired and configure their light values and direction.

MAKE SURE TO CLICK THE SAVE BUTTON ON THE NATURAL SETTING TAB

New .nfl are saved beside their companion .nfm files as seen below! (This will be fixed soon...missed it -shrug-) Just move it beside the nfm of the same name in your dump folder before attempting to use this utility!!!

All that being said now just crack open the Lightmap_Generator_EN.odt included with this release. It is an internal document from the developers that explains its functioning better than I can.

Notice

This tool was not created by or 'stolen' by me. Some group of pretenders spent a lot of money and released the mercurialWork SVN here. I just compiled a readable english version as well as translated documentation (provided by @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]) and released it for the benefit of the community. ;)

As always, you never release a work done by you, everything is someone's else work how pathetic.
@[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] don't defend your friend by removing my posts, as I'm only referring that these tools are Published by someone else and can be found with source code published

If people didn't release things that other developers worked on here there would be no reason for this section at all. It is not like they were worked on by another private developer here and their work should be preserved.

The server files belong to no one here.

The official tools belong to no one here.

Yet people do work on them all the time that make them more efficient or easier to use or just to provide directions on how to use them.

It is what we are all about here in this section so if you would please just continue to let others be without slinging accusations of stealing (after all, all the files we work on are stolen) then let us please continue on with this forum sections activity.

If not then we might as well close the entire section down.

In your first link I removed your post as well as another post made the other day for not using the thanks button. It is a rule here at EPVP that replying with thanks rather than using the provided button is spam.

Fair.

But from now in this topic please stay on topic and stop ruining Silents release thread.

I will remove future off topic comments.

Thanks.
