[Guide] Truth and Trust

I know I've been really mad recently since I lost all of my artwork and server data, but hear me out. I want to talk to you all about truth and how important it is in a private server.

First, I think I need to clean my slate before I can talk about truth. I just found out that Pete Ninja did not hack my laptop, nor did a virus. My laptop was made wrong by HP and so I'm returning it to get it fixed. I tried to apologize to Pete Ninja but I just got him talking how Arco isn't his slave and how he hacked my laptop. Sorry to the community also. I did wrong and I publicly apologize for my actions. If this thread ends up being my 3rd infraction then Husbey hates me.

Now, Truth is probably the most important factor in beta testing. I know that my friend Larry is the most truthful guy in the world. If my composition system is spitting out free +1's he's the one that puts them back and tells me the problem. Without truth and trust, you'll end up with people trying to take advantage of your kindness. It broke my heart when I found out that Larry's brother pked me over and over again while I was afk to get all my millions of silvers on my GM. I had to make myself indestructible because of him. I almost had two more of those kinds of people... but i stopped it you guys and here's how:

Trust your beta testers. Let them know why you're coding them a server. Tell them how much you trust in them and how much it means to you that they're helping you build a server. Let them know about you and where you come from, get to know them and become their best friend. Sometimes you get the Larry's brother... but you know what- it's so worth it to see those players smiling back at you that lets you know that you're doing something right... or it was when I had a server... now I have to start all over again since the crash.

@ thread: Good to see you've settled down about your data loss.

First... Arco isn't my slave, I never said he was, you twist words around. Second...I never said I hacked your computer, you said I hacked your computer and told it to the world. And Thirdly... You don't need trust. You need someone who gets the job done. Someone whos trustworthy might say, I will do it next week. You trust him so he does it next week. Someone who will get the job done, will say. I got it done. Also stop posting your releases beacuse all of the pictures you've shown would take us all like 4 seconds to create. Great you changed into a monster...Woohooo....Rock and roll... I've been transforming into that monster since before 5017. #request close...People don't need guides how to run their server from someone who won't support them by not releasing things.

Moving this to general, while this is a thread that alot of people could benefit from, i think its more of a personal statement about the position than a guide.

2. Every single thing I've heard out of your mouth has been a lie so far. Why would you think people want you over Arco for a Mod? Arco deserves to be a mod over you.
3. I'm not going to bring in pm's to prove my point.

There is no point in lying anymore. I told you I was wrong and that you didn't hack my laptop. I even told you I was sorry and I'd add you on msn again if you wanted and all you came back with is "f* off". So... how am I supposed to react to that?
The only reason you're requesting a close is because you have no life and you still think that something is going on between us. It's over dude. Just stop and enjoy life. God...

Thanks. I wish so too =\ i'm going to need it to get my laptop fixed. I have a feeling HP is going to send it back to me with new parts and it still won't work.

I really appreciate most of your support (lol) and thanks for getting me back on track and helping me realize that I can trust most of you.

@ Pete. I know you're wrong dude. I've worked with someone like you that thinks that trust has nothing to do with it... the server died in a week. Without trust of both parties... how can you create a server? Without trust your server is just being built on a foundation of distrust and hate. It's your server though... so whatever.

Y2K is real! This is what was meant by the downfall of the world, computers will destroy friendships. Without friends we are nothing in the world. Computers really show the true soul people behind peoples eyes, such as what went down between NewDawn and Pete Ninja. NewDawn jumped to conclusions, automatically assuming that Pete did something. I know that we would still jump to conclusions without computers; because people can't express emotion through text, you can't really get the sarcasm out of stupid statements such as "I'm going to hack you" giving people the wrong idea about what was actually meant. Ever since the invention of computers, everyone has really lost what honesty and hard work is. Its really quite sad that so many people give up their lives for video games.

This made ALOT more sense in my head.

Well agree and disagree. I didn't jump to the conclusion. He told me in my laptop's last hour he was going to hack it and destroy my server.. and since it wasn't a virus that was the only thing that made sense until I cleared my head and figured it out- pieced it together like a puzzle. I agree though... computers do make it hard to trust people because it really shows the other side of them and sometimes the true side of them.

I'm sure this post along with the multiple others will be deleted but I hope these two don't. It really introduces a new opinion.

Actually he is talking about trusting people on your own server, that is conquer pserv related.
Decker you don't know much about epvp other than the "register" link.
This thread is COMPLETELY related to co2pservers.

This isn't Co Related anymore. Request close, this is just Drama. Just move on and start over.
