Click Here To Register...] to the source code from a mirror I've been maintaining. You can also find an open-source launcher [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] if you're just interested in the connection part (is a bit clearer for that). It doesn't have the password cipher hook though. What are you looking to do with the source code / what's your goal?

Sounds like you're just trying to find a download for it then, and not necessarily the source code like you asked? I'm sure that exists somewhere, I just don't have a link to it. Maybe someone can upload a compiled version for you and we can add that to the client mirror.

And what's wrong with that? People don't come to this community to program. They come to play a game or host a private server so they can play a game. And it's fun hosting a private server. Maybe if you help him, he'll actually learn something. Again, how is he supposed to research anything here if he doesn't know what to research. Info about starting a server is all over the place in these forums.

why should i help someone who after attempting to help them via pms i get a response like that. i don't understand your logic Spirited.

Like your logic is seriously fucked, why create a thread saying looking for csv3hook if you don't know what it is? Why would you search for it lol. A more decent thread would be asking if anyone has a way to connect to the self hosted server. Obviously the guy knows what he is looking for just doesn't want to put the effort into actually make it work. like seriously bro, read what people say.

The answer to this thread has been marked as spam. If he can't figure out how to google for the csv3hook, how would he even host a private server? If you want people to come to your forums instead of epvp for 'the great traffic' then why don't you release "new" things here and put a backlink to your website? Trying to be a white knight for these idiots is wasted time.

Then show him how to help himself. Show him how to download the OpenConquerHook project that copies the hook via GitHub releases, or show him how to download from the original trunk using SVN that still shows up on Google. Honestly guys, none of my friends would be able to figure that out easily unless I showed them after 15 minutes. I can't imagine how much more difficult it is for non-English native speakers. It wouldn't kill you guys to be a bit more sympathetic. I also think it's important to consolidate information and start organizing better "getting started" threads (which I'm actively working on).

And the admins are aware of my other ventures. You don't need to keep advertising them for me. On top of that, literally all of my projects that are allowed to be open-source through my work are open source. And that's all through my GitLab and portfolio website for any forum to use. It includes a new release that I worked on over the holidays just last week.

I remember the days where we were sharing information with each other on this forum to share knowledge and this is what I would be supporting. I'm not supporting money-grabs and exit-scams, because that's all what most of this CO private-server and programming section is about.

If you want to discus this further, let's not do that in this thread and move to PM. Your motivation should be motivating others, not angering them.

I couldn't care less about appreciation. If a single person tells me they got into programming because of one of my projects, or a single person tells me they benefited from one of my projects, then that project succeeded. It helped me out, helped my resume out, and helped someone else out. I'm not in it for glory or recognition, and if you're in it for that... then I think you're in it for the wrong reasons.

And those money grabs and demands for cheats will exist in every private server and gaming community. You don't have to participate in looking for or providing hacks if you don't want to. I don't. And look at other modding / private server communities. Most are a lot better off than we are. They're so much more supportive and encouraging.

The toxicity in this section is not normal, even on epvp. What the section really needs is better moderation and friendlier tutorials on how to get started in different subjects. Yeah, some bad actors will benefit from that - but a lot of not so bad people will benefit as well. Like, if you want private servers to be more secure, then contribute that security. That's what open source is all about. You can't expect every person who comes in wanting to start a server for themselves to be cybersecurity experts or know about salted hashes.

Your help has been very useful on my journey configuring my conquer server, I always find your texts on my research. I admire your patience most of the time.
It's been about 3 months since I started playing with private servers, and I was able to put a source for Hamachi to play with two friends of mine, both played Conquer with me between 2006 and 2009, we are having a lot of fun. It has made me happy.

I'm having problems with Blowfish in many sources and I didn't know what it was, today I found you talking about it and helped me understand a little.

I can configure many things, I work with PHP, but I had never touched C#, this week I got a book in C# to read, will help me a lot. I can configure the skills, monsters, NPCs and correct various errors in the game, because only programming logic is enough, but there are many things that I still have difficulty understanding.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank the patience and help!
