Trying to understand HWID bans

So I was banned last month for cheating, using a private cheat. I recieved a mail from BSG saying I was banned (not BE) and at the bottom of the mail it said if the ban was regarding cheating I may not be able to play on the same computer anymore.

So I assume that would mean I am HWID banned, and if im correct, the way to get around that is to replace your ssd with a new one, including a fresh new windows?
And then I'm good to go?

I looked at older threads but it was extremly confusing with information seeming to differ depending on when the posts were made.

You'll want to clean traces and probably get a spoofer to avoid another chain ban on a $30 account.
