I don’t understand “2:1, 3:1” means

Can someone help me understand what “hybrid” mean?

Also what does 8:1 or 7:1 or 5:1 mean? I keep seeing people saying “5:1 hybrid spear is the best in pvp” or “2:1 spear nuker is the best vs unique”

But I don’t really understand what these ratios “2:1, 8:1, etc” mean.

Can someone explain to me please?
Also I’m playing on 100 ch only cap with 330 mastery. Can someone tell me what’s the best hybrid spear for that server?

It has nothing to do with the mastery, the ratio is about the Stat points. Basicly, a 2:1 build has to skill 2 points on INT and 1 on STR, means if u play on a 100 cap server u get 3 stat points for each level, so u end up with 300 stat points u can skill, if u want to skill a 2:1 u have to skill 200 on int and 100 on str

Thanks for your reply. But what about 5:1 or 7:1 or 8:1? Does it mean 8 points in int and 1 point in str? For example 8:1, does it mean I put my stat points in INT every 8 levels and put all my points in the 9th level, then repeat?

8:1 hybrid is literally the same thing. Every level you get 3 stat points. So, in theory, every 3 levels you get +9 stats. Add 8 of those to INT, 1 to STR. Rinse & repeat.

7:1 is ratio, means something is 7x more than the another thing.

for example if STR is 30, then INT is 30x7 = 210, vice versa.
It's a ratio between something and another
