Common Scams and how to avoid them... or use to your advantage

1) When buying a sigil, make sure it reads CELESTIAL Sigil, not family sigil. This scam is silly, but some people still fall for it. Family sigils are items from a necro quest near Piken's Square and absolutely worthless.

2) When the Althea's Ashes quest is completed (at least as of 2 weeks ago), for some reason, you get 2 stackable Althea's Ashes items that are completely worthless, and do not trigger the quest reward. Advice: don't buy em.

3) When going through a trade and the other person ever modifies his submission, make sure to RECHECK the item you think you're getting.

4) When someone is running you, dont give him/her the money untill after the run.

Hey I've got something pathetic since you brought up scams. I talked someone into giving me 15k for an account. Afterwards he would give me the other half. I made up a aol.com -mail and a long annoying to type password and got a free 30k rofl

I didn't get more then 1 of Althea's Ashes without taking more then one urn with me. Its not an easy quest to complete and some people will buy the ashes from you just to do the turn in without the hassle of running the quest.

If you have friends you want to do this for or just a quick buck here's how you do it.

Open up your storage and leave it open. Go over to the quest giver and take the urn. Toss it in storage and repeat until you have as many as you want to carry. Toss them all in your bags and go do the quest. you can get a pile of ashes for every urn you took with you.
Head back to the quest giver and sell away. if you want to repeat just sell them all or toss them in storage.

As for scams watch out for people shouting about their cool exploit web sites. They offer things like money making programs. Most of them are just back door programs disguised as lsass.exe in your processes.
