The point would be if a character is misplaced on a map, it would be easy to fix. I get what's he's getting at. But... there's an easier way to go that. Brb. I'll release it.

You could convert it yourself, i dont think theres a release 5165 with .ini's instead of binary.

Or you can just do it via control panel?

Binary's are not all bad. I would not reccoment ini's as much tho. Ini's are slow don't run or execute fast enough. Binary's tho in a text document are a lot faster. Tho MySQL would be the best route its faster there in text form to edit under tables. Ini's are good while your testing before a release or for test servers. MySQL would be best for converting. If you need help pm me ill help.

Use Hybrid's .ini save system on his basic source he released. Nobody's gonna do it for you, so maybe you should get crackin'. ;)

Why isn`t anyone considering XML for characters and stuff? Is it that bad? I used it for a simple game to load levels, enemies, spawns and all that kind of stuff, and I liked it more than INIs.

Not really.. AFAIK MySQL uses a combination of binary files + sockets to provide multiple connections and fast data transmission, of course it is better because the code is optimized to work faster and do data workarounds extremely fast, It is just a matter of how the programmer decides to do his job.

learn it, live it, love it.

Though if you want a different inifile class I would recommend using the one in hybrids extremely bugless source he released.
