hey guys im trying to run new world from a virtual machine to have more than 1 client running on the same computer.
I am having troubles getting the game to start, wondering if it has some sort of anti-vm countermeasure in place.

Did anyone here have any luck running new world from a virtual machine ?
If so, what did you do to make it work ?

It works on VMWare Workstation.
Make sure to allocate at least 8 GB of RAM and 2GB of Graphics Memory under the Display settings of your VM.

Then install New world normally via steam and launch it.
You will get an error message saying that your system doesnt meet the minimum requirements. Just click okay and the game will load up anyway. performance wise its playable but with the lowest resolution and lowest graphic settings.

for some reason launching the game fails as soon as i click play. i can see the game is preparing to lunch but then the cursor stops loading and nothing happens. i did what you said with the ram and the graphics settings but it seems i am missing something.

edit: what windows version did u install ?
