What do you think about this update?

I hope that they will fix the bug that is breaking high-end GPUs as I do not want to risk my 2080ti breaking.
But other than that the game seems great!

if you don't want your GPU to break, nvidia and amd have tools to limit fps, it will never happen if you do that.

That was a issue with the graphics cards not the game. The game just happened to trigger it.
