PS_Game: DB gamedef connect error (Ep 5.4)

09/25/2021 00:17 AngelDeadly#1
Hello,

I began to create my own local server, eventually extend it in the future to play with some friends.

My client 5.4 was taken from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].

And SHAIYA_SERVER files from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].

I managed to start all the services excepting game and gamegroups01, I'll comment every step I've made so far.

LOGS of ps_game

Service Account (Or the account that's linked to the Server has the basic credentials: Username:Shaiya, Psswd: Shaiya123). The account also has all of the SQL server roles over the Shaiya DB files.
I used the password encrypt found in the Server folder to encrypt the password and use it for the .ini files in the following path D:\SHAIYA_SERVER\SERVER\PSM_Client\Bin\Config

Ports 30800 and 30810 (for Game) & Ports 1433 and 1434 (SQL DB) are open for Inbound in Firewall.
IP address was changed for game.exe using HxD.
SQL Server Configuration Manager has all the protocols enable and IP addresses are 127.0.0.1 for TCP/IP and Named Pipes.

UPDATE

Changed my server files and client. However I'm seeing a new error.
Decrypted my NpcQuest.sdata with LPH and added it to /bin/data.
Older NpcQuest file had wrong characters. Tho there are other files that can't be decrypted even with LPH like KillStatus.sdata. Still having the same issue even after adding new NPCQuest.sdata file to the above path.
I even tried to add .sdata files into SQL Database (thinking that it could be caused by the fact that there's a conflict between values of similar/identical files)
Not even after injecting .sdata files from data.saf into SQL Database, the Game and GameGroup01 didn't start. Services are still on pause. Please check the error below.

Visual Studio Debugger:

P.S. I believe this could be related to OS as there are many dll files found in System32 folder.

TO BE MENTIONED:

SQL DB: SQL 2008 R2 (Using 2008 as I didn't had time to attach and detach DB to use a newer version and these .mdf server files are only compatible with 2008 R2)
SQL SSM: Latest in 24/09/2021
OS: Windows Server 2019 Datacenter
Hosted on a virtual machine (using Hyper-V)

I appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

Issue Fixed. Please close the topic.

For the first error. I had to use the public IP address to fix the game service. I was using my local IP address which was stopping my game service to start.
Steps: Go to your Bin folder in PSM_Client and edit your psgame.ini and edit the GamePublic to your Game IP Address. Mine was 127.0.0.1

For the second issue. I had to reinstall my SQL, redo the entire process, encrypt psswd, etc.. which made my game service start.

Best of luck, hope my resolution helps you in the future.
