A quick question

What if there would be an installer that you could run and then...
Completely installs you all the prerequisites, server files and client in a way you can always play your own SilkRoad server locally with friends or by yourself without ever needing a remote private server giving you a simple interface to be able to change your rates and stuff for your own liking.

in simple words: Once click and you got your own local servlar and set your own rules. :pimp:

Thoughts?

Interesting and useful idea. I heard such talk of instant deployment before, but nobody has ever actually made progress on it. It would be very useful for quick tests off of main or test server, and also very useful for beginners who do not know how to configure the modules, patch the client, restore the dbs etc.

Oh, not to mention the obvious convenience. :kappa:

And from the dropdown you are able to select which files and which version you wanna play. Crave some oldschool? Select ecsro and alike. You want the most overused files? vsro 1.88. Want some shitty trade system? Why not, vsro 1.193 is here. Want the EU out? Understandable. Select only CH. And ofc all the level caps and stuff.

But at the end of the day it wouldn't worth the effort. Playing local may be good to check what is what, but it gets boring quickly. Player base is what makes sro.

That would be very helpful for many users that wants to try their own server.
