download them from the VM desktop or burn them to a CD and open the CD from the VM desktop
analasys services should come with the download if not search microsoft.com

maybe you shld try lastest version of SQL. SQL 2000 is too old for window 7.

but if i use sql that more new than this i can run this on windows 7 and not on vmware in the windows 7?

you can try. one thing for sure is 2000 is not for window 7 and vista.. i personally dun prefer using vm. cos it took up too much of space, and oso it's other's work.

cause it is not possible. Of caurse if you will mange to make server run on SQL 2008 :) Then you will run server on Win7

As said above its not possible to run a server on windows 7

Thats the reason why people use VM ware and tell you to install windows xp or windows server 2000 (I think its 2000)

Why don't you use the 1 click server ? Everything is set up, all you have to do then is change the IP's and change the server files (Share) to how you want your server.

All you have to do is open VM workstation, once you done that you click on 'Open existing VM or team'.

Next you locate were you extracted the VM (1 click server) and press open.

A screen should show like this (Without the red boxes etc)

Double click, then move the slider along. (This is how you change the ram)

Then click 'Power on the machine'

i tried it just loding windows server 2003 and than it stucks and i have to do restart cuse all my computer is running too slow that i cant shut it down(vmware)
i have 2g ram
and i set up the vmware to 1700 mb

what the problem here?

I think that you havent enough Ram 3gb would be fine but with 2gb you must set your swap memory up to 2-3gb for Dekaron.
I never tried the oneclick version.

Good Luck eventually you can start sometime your server :>

first off u have to understand, the server files wont run on windows 7

second, there are only 2 SQL servers i know of that will run the current DB files, and thats 2000/sp4 and 2008, and as far as i can tell, u have to run everything in 32bit.

and, u took 1700Mb of memory to ur VM?? when u only have 2Gb to work with? the original OS needs a certain amount of RAM to run smoothly, and its running the VM ware as well, so by taking over half of 2Gb away from windows 7, never a good idea lol

ok so you say i need to try to turn on the vmware on 1024 mb and then is work smoothly?

and if is not where i can get new server files so i do with sql on xp pro in vmware?
