Tarkov Region Lock Question

Is owning a CIS region account a problem if I live in the "Other" region? I just bought an EFT using a Russian VPN to get better prices and ended up getting an EOD account in the CIS region by accident. Turns out I didn't turn off my VPN at the right point. I have been told that using a VPN to login to the launcher will work but I am not sure if I want to rely on a VPN to play. Isn't there also a chance that later on they might crack down on people using VPNs and different regions to the one they are in?

Push comes to shove I'll try to get a refund and buy it again properly, but I'm not sure how to go about getting the refund. That's a question for another topic/time.

With regards to signing in: you only need the VPN once. When logging into tarkov, be sure to click "remember me" and sign in using the VPN. Once you are signed in, you can close the launcher and disconnect from the VPN and the account will be unlocked, you can play from wherever without the VPN.

Also, considering how long this trick has been around, I don't think they will crack down on this little trick :)

Cool, thanks. Will make my life easier compared to trying to get a refund.
