Possible Anti-Cheat Coming?

If you take a look at Treyarch Twitter account, they changed their profile picture. Also they mention that COD 2021 will be deeply integrated into warzone.

If you look at Treyarch new profile picture, its like an investigative guy with a hat in a shield background.

The logo reminds me of the very first Punkbuster Anti Cheat Icon (the greenish one with the investigative guy back in early 2000s IIRC, that annoying program that comes with most of the game)

The shield on the other hand, is self explanatory

Could treyarch be working on an anti-cheat and then be integrated into WZ when COD 2021 release?

I have a strong feeling it is.

Could be, could be not. Without more infos we can just guess. Its probably the new game style which has that "investigative guy" stuff.

Ye.. goodluck with that, eventually coders will come out with new bypass and hacking in wz will continue because too much money in stake.

You would think for a game as popular as Warzone, they would have done something sooner. At this point, I think they don't even care. I know it's kinda hypocritical to be talking shit about cheaters on a forum meant for cheaters, but let's be real, it's out of control. We haven't seen a ban-wave or detection in months. The unlock-all source has been public for nearly a month and they haven't taken action against that either. And for me to be honest, it's kinda ruining the game, I just wanna play with my friends and have fun with simple walls and aimassist, but then comes the ragers with silent aim absolutely shitting on your will to continue this game.

They just never really thought about it because there was no real competitor, now with the release of Battlefield, they have to do something against it.

Satan makes a good point, we haven't had a Battlefield release in years so COD has just been running away with it. Now that this Battlefield has a lot of hype around it as well, they gotta figure out the cheating problem

You guys don't think people will be right back on Warzone 2 weeks after BF2042 has come out? The people that LIKE Battlefield games a lot are gonna be playing it non stop sure, but the NickMercs of the Twichverse, I feel like those dudes are gonna back on Warzone so damn fast.

Also has BF confirmed a BR mode? Cause that's really what it is, there is no other significant BR game out there, especially an FPS with normal guns, that WZ has to compete with.

Even if Halo ends up having a BR which I also know nothing about, certain people are not gonna like a Halo BR for the same reasons they don't like Apex Legends.

Until an arcadey but also semi-"realistic" FPS BR comes out that's ALSO free, Warzone is gonna maintain this weird Monopoly as "the only game to play" (It's not, far from it, but you guys know what I mean)

Warzone has non fantasy BR on LOCK.

Bungie will sue anyone that makes a hack for halo lmao

What provider are you using that you are afraid of an anti-cheat? Any good provider will adapt easily. :)

I wasn't in the scene when Halo was at it's peak - is it really hard to cheat on like that?

"leakers" are already circulating that Warzone is working on a karnel level anti cheat (i cant remember whats his twitter)

If that is true, I got a feeling that it will come together with Vanguard. As I saw on ModernWarzone he says Vanguard will still use the same engine as warzone but modified and since its gonna be developed by treyarch which recently changed their twitter profile picture, i think its possible

Also i have a strong feeling that activision is playing the waiting game. If they are even working on an anti cheat, they might announce / release it the same time HALO / BF is released in order to steal attentions on social media

If they release it now, yeah it will be all hype but when BF/HALO release, its gonna be flooding every coontent creator facebook/twitch/youtube so warzone will get no hype

So i feel its all just waiting game. Just marketing strategy.

Im not saying there will not be cheaters anymore. I can see good devs be able to work their way around it but most probably more bans / harder for rage hackers?

It's gonna be harder for ragers for sure if you can get banned mid game by a thing that can auto detect the fact that your aim isn't natural, or that you are hitting too many headshots. I've been auto banned mid game in Apex before, it's ridiculous

they hired a company last year.
paid them 20m to make something for them, which i would assume has been published, and it did nothing.
could be a possibility that it isn't done yet - either way, momentum is lost, they waited too long.

All Battlefields have had cheese in the past, so why would the new BF2042 be any different.

How would Activision lose any customers to that game when EA absolutely does nothing to stop cheesers.

I know all my friends are not buying BF 2042 for that reason - and none of them use any cheese.

Only reason I do on alt accts on a different system (Laptop) is because I like to do EasterEggs and semi-rage on other cheesers that I can tell are doing the same thing in Call of Duty.

It is so obvious when someone using a sniper rifle not even aiming not even lined up on you does almost a 180 and kills you without even aiming with a quick scope and the last thing you see in the replay is him aiming at somewhere else and you are then dead.

The issue is there are so many cheesers on Call of Duty and we all know it, but Activision and EA really only cares about customers spending money for DLC such as Battlepass, Blueprints, and skins.
