Cheated multiple times and not banned?

I continually scripted in rust about a year ago and got a few account banned. From what I have read here that’s usually when you should get HWID banned, but I am not. The weird thing is I did get banned for no reason, no scripts or cheats open, just after to hours later I was banned l. I thought I was ip or hwid banned so I just left the game for a little bit. I now returned have about 1k hours, same ip same system, same steam name, almost everything is the same and I have not revived a single ban on a sever. Anyone know why this is. I did a little bit of digging into my internet provider and found out people have had there IP address changed multiples times. So i wonder if I was ip banned and my internet provider automatically changed it so now I can play. I have never thought to really check my ip regularly so I wouldn’t know if it’s changed or not. Any thoughts?

rust wont game ban you off ur ip. Could have been a false ban but thats extremely rare

When you left the game for that 1k hours was it idling in the menu or on the server?

You wont get banned from sitting in the menu, only when you've been on a server. Usually if youre just scripting you can get away with a few bans before a HWID ban, but if youre full cheating with aimbot and other features sometimes your first ban is a HWID ban

Nope, I have played for a thousand hours on servers and not a single ban. I was scripting on 3 or 4 different accounts that all got banned.

If it was a hardware ban, why am I not banned now? Have not changed anything about my pc.

That's not true. You get HWID banned after 3-5 times of getting banned overall.

Had a mate who never cheated before and he was hard cheating and his first ban was a HWID. So just going off what he said. At the end of the day nobody really knows

I'm not saying it's always 3 bans or 5 bans. I wrote 3-5, implicating it's random. But I used to script, got banned 3 times, then cheated, and got banned twice, a total of 5 bans then a hwid ban
