1. What features does opennos miss, compared to the official server?

2. Are there any known bugs/problems when playing?

3. Can I connect to opennos with any client version?

If opennos is playable, I would like to setup a private server.
I will need to know how to build the code and how to run it.
I have a long list of questions that would best be answered in a conversation.
Please send me your contact information, if you have some spare time and a good soul.
I would be very thankful.

Thank you all, for reading and maybe answering.
OpenNos is bad. Really bad. It's pretty much feature complete though, if you ignore the astronomical amount of bugs and various issues caused by bad code design.

If you want to run a "vanilla" version of OpenNos, everything is written in their ReadMe file.

This version is really outdated though, so you will probably have to change a lot of things. There are more recent sources on this forum, you should easily find them, but the one on github has the info you need to set up a server.

I have a few questions about your reply:

Can you give more information about what bugs there are?

Can you tell me what is included and what is missing? (Like acts and sp's)
Are these more recent sources also less buggy?
To be fair, in public sources, you will never find a complete one or one that does not have performance issues.

Even the most recent sources will probably not have act 7 or even 5.2. They have all the specialists though, but probably not working properly.
