Avoiding bans

Hey there, i have a quick question regarding bans.
I play on DE Servers and obviously don't want to get my accounts banned.
What would happen if i create a new GF-Account on a VPN and then create characters on INT Server and only play on them using the VPN. If i get banned on the other server, will my main get cought in the ban aswell? since it shouldnt be linked via IP. Could they still ban me through something like HWID or Cookies?

I dont think they will because I used to play like this but.. what about if someone uses the same vpn of you?

You can rent a cheap VPS and run OpenVPN on it. This way you're pretty much certain nobody will use the same ip as you.

Be careful even when using proxies or a vpn.
It should be on before you even register the account.
I got banned back in 2011 while using proxies.
I dont know at which point I messed up back then but it was definetly something else than just the game login ip.
Always used socks5 non transparent proxies when doing smth that would get me banned.

So make sure there is nothing that could link the new account to your main account.

Here is a ticket response from back then (in german, since you said you play on DE im assuming you can read that).
For context: The ban was for using the packet that would boost you to job lv 4 on a completly new account. There was no interaction between the 2 accounts.

no u will get banned bcs they log MAC adress, so vpn dont help at all

use TMAC and vpn on vmware
