Have you been hacked before??

Sometimes, I fear these smart homes and wondering who could be watching or hacked into my network because it is not a difficult thing to do at all. :thinking:

I came across a DIY instructions on how to prevent these hackers :)

I thought to share in case someone else needs it… :cool:

I don't trust these things, don't even want to buy and install them.
Of course it's my personal opinion,but I also see them as just weird

Using a VPN or proxy is useful

i got hacked before but now using proxy and never open unsafe links

my pc never got hacked, but a couple of years ago, when I was still a student, my workspace vps got hacked and i was asked some money to get my data back. It was just course material so I didn't really care of getting data back, so I wiped the server made a fresh install and started looking more carefully about cyber security.

I've never been hacked for this reason.

I also don't recycle passwords, I don't write passwords down, I don't store private keys on my machine, I dont use Google Passwords etc

No, this has never happened before. But I have a fear that someone might be watching me. Especially through the webcam. That's why I always close the webcam.

Prefer to protect my data, so use vpn. I never store all important information in the cloud storage. I even use different passwords for each account. Safety is especially important when playing at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. I think this is an important question.

I was hacked on an online game before. No idea how, I don't do much special online.
Other than that I don't think I have.

I don't think the smart home systems should be purchased unless they are ones with end to end encryption and open source, there has been reports of Amazon employees spying on people.
