VSRO Tunneling application and error c9

05/09/2021 23:24 guast21#1
Did anyone try using a tunneling application like [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] with vro?

I am running ngrok to tunnel any tcp connections on port 15779 to my localhost where I am running the vsro server.

Changed the ip address with IpInput, and I start the game, but right after I click login I get the c9 error.

Already added a rule to the windows firewall to accept any tcp connection on port 15770, but it didn't work.

Any ideas what else should I try?

No, long story short, ngrok uses a domain name and doesn't give us an actual ip address, and that won't work since the vsro database requires an ip address. I've replied to your PM with the details.

Why do you use ngrok ?
Is this for site-to-site or other needs ?

Use ngrok on a local server or on a vps ?

Are you sure of that? As far as I know ngrok will give you something like this:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

And you can't use this to configure the vsro files, specially the database, since it requires an actual ip address with the format x.x.x.x where each x is an integer

I was trying to use ngrok because I thought it would be easier than setup any other tool like hamachi.

There are many people that use ngrok to create minecraft servers, I thought it would also work with vsro.

The goal is to have some friends joining my local server from their homes with the least effort possible (without hamachi or any other tools).

I know it is just a subdomain, but is managed by ngrok, is not that easy to get the ip address as it sounds, you can try yourself.

Unfortunately, I live under a rock and I don't use discord. I know, I must be part of the 0.01% that does not use discord :D
