Help: Connection Failed Please Try Again

I setup the A23 ShangriLa files and I am able to login and create character but when I hit connect, the screen goes black and says “Connection Failed. Please try Again.” Then it goes back to character screen. Anyone know what could be causing this? Everything else is working.

is sessionserver connected to dekaronserver?
are you running it locally (server and client on the same ip address)
did you put the correct ip address in your clients channellist.csv?

Yes everything is on localhost (127.0.0.1). I’m using the dekaron start all executable in the A23 server that was released in this forum. It states all processes are running. It’s weird because I can login but just can’t get into game.

What .exe are you opening?

The one included in Farius repack.

ok, but are you sure that dekaronserver has connected to sessionserver? or is dbmon filled with SESSION IS NULL stuff?

There is no dbmon on the A23 Server files

If session will be not connected with DB will just crash same problems is when cast server don't have connection with DB. I just suspect where can be problem, problem can be inside SQL configuration and wrong configuration inside one file.
Because I do not make this configuration I just guessing where is the problem.

The db is fine. he can log in on his account and see his characters, so both account and character db are ok.

The issue I suspect is that dekaronserver expects session to be open on one port, while its running on another one.

I’ll check over the ports again and let you know

Figured out the issue. Cast and Session Server are closing.

Critical Error Deadfront
Critical Error GuildServer

DB Id/pass is correct
TCP/IP enabled.

This happen when you not giving proper rights to MSSQL account like SA if you use different login for MSSQL you should give to this login dbo rights to account character and cash DB. And there can be another one issue with TCP/IP, your TCP/IP is enabled but mssql working not on proper port 1433 and at the end of list IP server works on random port for all IP.

For testing purposes my mixed authentication is “sa” “123456”. So it’s the same as server confirms. The user rights should be fine then. So if that’s now the issue how would I change the sql port to match 1433?
