Is Trove like a World of Warcraft?

Before I download it, I would like to know if the gameplay is somewhat related to WoW, for example, an amount of people reuniting to destroy a giant boss and stuff as that, I just want to be informed.

I think it's more comparable to Diablo, in a sense where loot is a constant but upgrades are not.

It's incredibly grind heavy, prepare to spend hours upon hours grinding for a couple more bits of damage.

Although it's grindy, I think it's fun. Would I recommend it over WoW in anyway? No, the cash shop is very yikes. However as a new player, I'm sure you'd love it and it is a small game so go for it!
