You could try checking to see if your PC is changing the priority of Modern Warfare after you alt-tab. Alternatively, if you want to alt-tab a lot, try playing in fullscreen windowed mode. Are you starting a program to run in the background after you alt-tab?

Do you have discord overlay enabled? If so, try disabling.

You first need to check to see if it is happening with other games
If so, it's a driver issue with 2D and 3D optimization between rendering background apps and the game.

Then either 1 of 2 things.
1. your graphics are too high for your PC capabilities.
2. your priority is being changed when alt-tabbing.

It would help if you can confirm what your modern warfare priority is, and what it’s being changed to. By default it’s usually set to high. Play the game, alt-tab to make your frames drop, confirm that have dropped, then check the games priority and see if it’s changed from high.

If it’s at high, try changing it to normal and see if that helps.
