Why are cheats so expensive

I'm just curious as to why they are so expensive, not really complaining about it just not sure, last time I cheated in a game it was just a thing you downloaded and started.

time, knowledge, effort and complexity increased a lot. On the other hand, the demand for cheats increased aswell.

EFT cheats are on the expensive side because of how hard it is to bypass BSG and BE.

there is also not a lot of competition compared to games like cs:go where there's a dozen cheats and they all compete to keep their prices low. Not as much of a problem with eft because all the public cheats get detected super quickly and are unreliable as a result. the only way to really cheat for awhile is to use private shit and that's when stuff gets pricey
