How to Setup a Private Server

Here is a Introduction how to set up a "naked" server with the CO Full Server Code. What i mean with naked you will see when you run and "play" it...

1. Download The Sourcecode
2. In the CO Full Server C# Project is one File named "BackEndDB.cs" open it go to line 200 insert your IP there.
3. Build Both of the Projects
4. Create a Database called "Conquer" in your pgSQL Admin
5. Do a SQL Query with the table defination
6. Add a Account to the DB (leave the Password Field blank)
7. Open the Servers Table and insert your Computer Name and your IP in it
8. Go in your Conquer folder open the Server.dat File add your Server Information there (be sure its the same as in the Server Table)
9. Now run Conquer, enter your Account Name and choose a Password, the Programm will put the right Password in the Account Table for you.
10. HAVE FUN!

sorry but will Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition do the job for this?

You can use it but im not sure if its working without problems there you have to ask someone else who has experience with the Server Code and VC# Express

it cannot run the vbproj files. in the XYThreadPool. But Does both have to be built together?

troubles with:

How do i add an account to what db? T.T and what server table?

Ok nvm..

But how do i add an account to those tables?

Where do i find that? It might be the problem i cant connect to game server only to account server

i'm getting the same problem it says can't connect to game server could somone post a tut with screen shots because i think i got the files in the wrong place and i'm shore i don't the tut correct mabye the tut incomplete ...

i dont understand where to few this pgsgl table thing?

u can stil play qonquer user full co server by changing one's server ip adress to qo one.. on serverdat.. ull have to search for the qo ip tho
