I want to be a moderator to further give back to the community that helped me learn so much. There is a lot of clean up work to do in this section and it is in the top 3 in posts of sections with one moderator. Off-topic/spam posts are especially problematic since they tend to screw up searches and thus both newbies and experienced users have trouble finding what they are looking for.-How much experience do you have with the issue of the forum you [are applying] for?
I started playing the original Eudemons Online three years ago. I have been involved in EO private servers for exactly two years, but started with other private servers in January of '08 (Join Date). I have also been a guardian of the EO section since Jan 25th of this year.-Do you have enough time to visit the board about every two days and to put enough effort into the job?
Absolutely. Whether at home or on-the-go with my iPhone I regularly check the EO section throughout the day. The only times I don't check are when I am asleep. ;)-Did you regularly take part in the section before you posted your application?
Yes. I started out as more of a leecher in the beginning; gathering information to make sure I understood the subject better. Since then I have become a regular contributing member to the section.-Are you able to handle questions and questioners of which you think — are very stupid?
I answer their questions as best as I can myself and/or direct them to well-written threads that could assist them further. If they are breaking some sort of rule, I make sure to let them know of such, rather then just reporting them and walking away. These are people who are usually new to this forum/section or gaming in general, and because of that they need to be treated as such. The community can't grow if we expect them to know as much as everyone else right from the start.-Can you act appropriate/mature with other human beings?
The best answer would come from what others say about me, but I myself strive to be as mature as possible when dealing with others. Many people don't like being corrected or disciplined for their actions. However, if I am not appropriate or mature with them I cannot expect them to act appropriate or mature with me.-Did you ever operate as a moderator before?
I operated as a moderator of a vBulletin board for six to eight months. We then switched to a smf board where I continue my moderating duties to this day. This private server forum has about 5,000 registered members with a current average of 63 posts per day.
