btc address changes after 1 transaction?

Hey there. I'm having a issue with seller here on epvp. I bought something off him and it went well. I paid via btc. So later on I went to make another transaction and I had that address as my clipboard so I tried to copy another Bitcoin address I didn't copy and I didn't notice so I sent another payment to the person that I didn't mean to send to and he is telling me that that address changes every transaction and I just want to know if he's sure about that because I'm told by someone else that that's not the case. I won't say who it is yet I just want to confirm if that happens with Bitcoin addresses. I also have screenshots of our convos

Ive spoken to both Shakepay and Blockchain, and they both tell me the same thing.

Hello My name,

So every time the recipient (the Blockchain.com user) requests to receive BTC a new address is created. The address is not for one-time-use and is linked to the receiver's wallet. So that same address can be used numerous times.

If the recipient can't find the funds you have sent, please let them know they can contact us directly and we'll look over the problem from their side.

Thanks,
Kay | Blockchain.com Support

May I kindly ask if the person has received it?
Thanks!

Its pretty much optional. He can make a new address for every transaction, or he can get all of them on the same one.

You get a new address for every transaction. But does not mean that the "old" or already used address is no longer valid or must be used.

It just makes no sense always use the same address. Therefore you always take a new one.

I suspect, like others here, that you have been scammed.
