The curious link he sent is the one used by the company to track & register any registration 'made thanks to their partner'.

Also, it sets specific parameters that will allow the code to be used on accounts specifically created from the link [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

In the initial post as it is visible now (22.11.2020 00:45), the post contains no suspicious link, no worries.
