The witcher series

I've had The Witcher 1, 2, 3 on my PC for ages. I've tried 1 a few times and never got far. The combat (QTE flaming sword icon) and I did not see eye to eye :)

I've also tried 3 a few times, hearing how great it is. The very first time I couldn't even finish the race at the beginnng with Ciri  I'm wanting to give it another go now.

Does playing the games in order help with any lore/story or connections to NPCs? Would I miss much by just jumping into 3?

What are your thoughts or recommendations?

I think you could just start playing the witcher 3. You might miss some backstory, but you could look after videos in which 1+2 are summarized.

We have to start from those which are easy first and then we can move slowly too hard. So we have to start with witcher 3.

I could never get into the story myself, which is a shame because I hear the game is really good otherwise.

Personally I would start from the first one and just play through them all ;) Yes the first and second games are older but they are great once you get into them.

Don't be put off, Give them chance. Just set yourself a goal of completing them all. It's worth playing.

You can skip straight to number three and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to your life but I personally feel you would be missing out on some great games.
