A possible scam (might b a good one)

ok I onece posted a msg about using item id to get ur items, but now I have an other idea, all items must use some kind of code that ur comp sends to co and back to a person with wich lets say ur trading...
I think the same code is used on the auto miner macro, I dunt realy know how to search fur those codes, but lets say u find a code at least of a super item (any item, even a cheep one), then u buy a pick axe and somehow change the code (swap the code of a super item with the pickaxe).
If this should work and thinking logicly the person with whom ur trading should c a super item not a pick axe, then when u agree to traid, the original code of pickaxe should b sent to co, so when ur done all u loose is a pickaxe and u get money or good stuff...

Thinking logicly this should work, it should b smth similar to hexed money, others c lets say 900kk and all u have is 90k.

well unfortunatly I'm pretty sure unless they had the same itemtype.DAT as you they would see the real item as all you modify is your copy of the DAT file, not sure how artmoney works in comparison with this though but I think whereas the money would be built into the client itself allowing others to see it as well items have their own file, I may very well be wrong but I guess this is how it works

EDIT: feel free to correct me ppl I am trying to learn more about how the client works :)

In the trade item add packet you only send the ItemID, the server checks if you really got that item in inventory and sends all necessary informations to the other player.
All you could do is to change the ItemID which would have no effect because the server knows what belongs to you and what doesn't.

I mean you put the item in the trade window then send a packet to store the item in the warehouse? :rolleyes:

ive tried this kind of thing, like when u send the put in trade window packet, and resend it, it puts the item back in your inventory, but it is actually still in the trade window. nevertheless after you put it back in your inventory, you can drop the item and then it is actually on the ground, and the trade will fail because the item is no longer in your inventory for the trade... so idk if that theory will work.

here's a working scam, u get a hack like artmoney and get money(on client side and yes I know they can see them but they don't exist and I also know u can't trade em) after u do that show them the money and they will notice the trade fails so u tell em that ur game is messed up and u can't trade, tell them 2 come after u and u drop a ammount of money that on ground will be gold bars(real money) and take the item, u'll pay but a lot less
(offer them more money that the item usually costs so they won't say forget it and leave)
I'll say this on steps too:
1)Show them the fake money on trade window(more than the item usually costs)
2)Say that the game is messed up and u can't trade
3)Take them somewhere in market
4)Tell them to drop item
5)U drop a real amount of money that on ground will be gold bars
6)Take the item and log off

-.- i'm not fond of scams, but an old trick is to close the trade window really fast when trading item(s) for other item(s) keep doing this, claiming your trade window is bugged. originally put in the item(s) but after a while of opening, putting item in, closing, put it the fake. eventually they will click trade with the fake item and it's yours. :? works best with +s

Here are my two ideas..

1. Change the items client-side (Such as switch a normal ring to super client-side) and get the packets for putting it in the trade window.. Maybe won't work because it's still stored server-side...

OR

2. See what the packets are for putting in a *super dragon* and use that packet for putting in a normal dragon...

Both probably won't work.. But worth a try? xP

neither would work as they see the item information stored in their item.dat switching yours would only let you see it as another item and their would be a server side check on which item your putting in, it wouldn't allow you to place an item in trade without checking, A. whether you have the item in question and B. what that item really is :?

ok the serwer maby checks wut ur adding to marketw but wut if u would add the item to mw and then change the item code, so the walue sould stay "super" untill someone buys that item...
