Ok, So I've been trying to figure out which mobs drop the best items and were, such as out in open Rose Assasins or the one's in the caves an such.

As well As I asked before if there is a way to make super for money on twelvesky2, But seems as if no1 knows....lol

So whats your opinion on monsters and who has best drops for any lvl bracket.

Define best :)

I hate to say this but the best way I've found to make money on TS (legit money, without duping) is to buy AP items and sell em in Saigo.

I know :)

and since Im in a good mood ill tell you :)

To understand how drops work here, you need to first understand that each mob set (spawn of five monsters) has their own drop rates. . well its not that complicated or else it would have been impossible to code, but as I go on youll understand (and maybe someone would be better able to explain that part)

From lvl 30-m27

Caves has the best drop rates of skills and rares.

Specifically the corners for skills/rares middle mobs spawns for pets/elites (but thats a whole different story)

Every mob in the cave has a certain chance to drop rares and skills, some drop more rares in their cycles , some drop more skills

mob spawns have cycles they run through, one is a unique cycle where you get. . .uniques basically anything that is that color and says (unique) . . .yes including tickets

Uniques are influenced by two things

a) they location in the drop cycle of the spawn

b) the amount of luck you have

basically more luck= more unique drops and less rare drops(including skills)

if you have over 1000 luck (999 does not count) you have a 1% more chance of getting elites so if you have 2000 luck = 2% chance
(That info came from a GM on the Korean version of this game.)

now down to rares and skills

Im going to make this as simple as possible

each mob drops 3 skills and 2 forms in their pattern, after this is up it can take anywhere from 3-4 hours (of constant killing) for the pattern to be reset ...in that time you will get no skill drops

out of these skill drop, you have a chance of getting a rare one, basically its a lucky roll, if you've gotten a unique skill drop then you weren't lucky

each mob has a certain chance of dropping skills, some have higher rates than others, and some have higher rates of dropping rares, some have higher rates of dropping both rares and skills, etc etc etc (applies to elites as well)

*note* EVERY mob has a chance to drop anything, so dont get confused and think im saying that you wont get jack sht from anything other than corner mobs, Im not saying that

Usually Its best to move after getting 2 lvl skill drops if you are impatient
it will account for other players being in that spot already

*if you dont think its true, go to every mobs in a cave and record the drops you get for 8-9 hours. . .(Ive done it)*

BOA and BOCFs Theres a reason why these drop at higher lvls in the game, and its not because you may get full up on skills (the drop rates for these things are waay too much for that) but going into depth on that is just way too complicated confusing and superfluous for those of you wanting to make money while grinding or to farm efficiently, the above tips are enough for that. basically if you see one of these, it will signal that the rare cycle is either ending or beginning, so stay at that spot for 30-45 minutes and if you get no drop after that, go somewhere else.

Heres what I would suggest to you:
First of all. . .dont farm at lvl 64 (rose assasins)

1) as you level up and follow these tips you WILL get all your skills dropped for you then some as you lvl

2)odawa cave lvl 1 mobs drop lots of skills, especially sand drakes and obsidian hearts, most people skip this cave and go to sos at m11.... so they not many skill drops

IF you dont have all your skills, STAY at obsidian hearts untill they go black! odawa cave 2 DOES NOT drop skills . . .im not sure if obsidian hearts still drop skills after they are black even though they still drop items because I was pretty much done with getting skills by then, and even had a few to sell making me lots of money

3)Abyss has a higher chance of dropping skills rares.elites for EVERY mob. . . .you fight for it for a reason

now for leveling and farming

I usually test each mob to see if a) if it is in its rare drop cycle (which means a chance of dropping rare skills as well)

b) if it has a high drop rate of rares/skills

so I stay in that mob spawn for 40-45 minutes and If I get a rare, I stay, if not, I go to another spawn

If I already dont know if a spot is good at dropping rares then I will stay and see how many rares/skills i get in a 2hour period.

Elites

over 1000luck = 1% more chance of dropping an elite

Sos has a higher chance of dropping elites

Using sos+turbo(2xdrop)+double drop scroll+1000luck+center mobs=higher chance to drop elites

Or you could just stay in one spawn that no one else goes to for a few months untill you get something (as I said ALL mobs have a chance to drop anything so yeah if you stay at one mob forever you can theoretically get anything you need)

So there you go, stuff that people dont want you to know:)

Enjoy!

yeah but of course, it just raises the CHANCE of elites by 1% so if somehow you got 10000000000 luck they could just lower the chance lols

Do you think that perhaps the 1% you get from 1k luck in kr differs on Aerias servers? If you think about it on the kr servers they dont give away elites there all the players go out and find them so perhaps this 1% chance (and elite drop rate percentages themselves) is lowered on Aerias servers to increase their profits. Great guide you have there though. I learned alot from it. Looking forward to give it a crack.

Thanks for the post VitaminD,

However, wouldnt it make more sense for the drop rates to remain the same? it is afterall the same code, same monsters etc. Would it be possible that being in a cave just applys a Modifyer to the monsters drop rates? so that they appear to have Higher drop rates maybe Higher Exp but are still the same if you were to remove that modifyer :D.

for example makes sense that caves are 1.3x rather than 1.0x or something :P

I don't know why I'm back here again, but after being gone for years and being a software dev for a while yes, what you said makes sense. I remember it was the corners because the corners had TWO spawns whereas everywhere else had one. Two spawns = more monsters = more chances for randInt to roll the number that gives you what you want. I actually highly doubt that rotation stuff worked. I mean I guess they'd put a Lim method plus timeframe in the code but. that would use a lot of memory. . .but then again, I remember that game being very laggy with memory leaks so maybe they did As they would make more money if they limit the drops of certain items daily, especially with a higher population, as well as laws against long playtimes that were the rage in many asian countries around that time
