No XPskill

Any ideas how to make the xpskill work.
Max level warrior character, not databased. The skill never worked.
Candy based client on win 7.

Also, randoms dont work, any ideas?

make sure you have XP skills in your skill list, if not buy some and use them and it will solve the problem

Perhaps my post wasnt as precise as it could have been. Allow me to clarify-

I have the required skills, star sword and another 2. But the xpskill bar doesnt fill up, nor does the code work, /fullxp.
So no xpskill.

try using this command /xp if it doesn't work, then try makinf another charcter and see if it works or not.

Never encountered such a bug, even on the oldest releases, did you alter you database in any way? I use candy and i edited it a lot to make something proper and nice and its working great, try to restore the initial database and check if xp skills work, as i suspect they will.

nope not done any db work apart from renaming the monsters, and it never worked before then

It appears as tho my xpskill problem was caused by one of two things, corrupted account, and the xpskill being deleted somehow from my char.

Either way it dont matter cos its fixed now. Thx all who took the time to post.

Hmm.. Is it a problem in .ini?

try looking at both your cq_magictype and magictype.ini files (sorry if the names of the files aren't exact).

If the "type" of skill they are, are not a XP skill then it will not increase your XP. Also try seeing if you can do the xp += Xamount in cq_action for an item?
