9Dragons GameGuard Error

I got a new computer and I cannot play any version of 9dragons. I get stuck on the screen that says "Initialization complete. Loading login data".
The error message from the logs is "GAME GUARD CALLBACK : Unknown message, E_Code:1598".
If I kill the GameGuard.des process then the successfully game loads, however the game terminates itself shortly after because gameguard isn't running.
Anyone know how to disable gameguard or solve this issue?

When you're killing gameguard.des - you're killing what creates the module that does the checksum validation and what updates the gg files which will disconnect you and terminate the processes. Most likely the heartbeat.

What generic steps have you taken to try and fix the problem. Be ready as gameguard is a complete cunt.
