Crowfall

Crowfall is an upcoming PvP MMORPG and it's a mix between a strategy game and an MMO. It's dubbed "Game of Thrones meets EVE Online". The game features massive PvP battles, complex crafting, seasons and day/night cycles, temporary campaigns, deep character advancement, etc.

Beta is expected to begin sometime this year and is free to anyone who registers.

It's been about 6 months since the Closed Beta has started and the servers are running 24/7. They've also wiped the progress very recently so those who are interested in a fresh start on equal footing may want to create an account for free.

They've scrapped the passive training system in December (similar mechanics to EVE Online where players get skill points over time). They have instead create a item-based system of progression.

Performances improved significantly since a year or so. Large-scale battles are more fun with higher frame rate!

The game retains its gruesome elements : grave digging, frankenstein-style mechanics, decapathons, etc.
