Hey all, I'm having a problem on my server. I'm sure it will be easy to fix if you know whats wrong. I have no clue so that's why I ask =)

Problem: Guards kill everyone even if they are not flashing.

if its coemu?? did u rename the guards??? if you did!
find there old name say Guard1 go to search and replace type in ( the old guard name "Guard1" for example and then type in the name you changed it too say "Watcher" for example and press replace all ( make sure it says entire solution not just current document" and it should replace all the codes for the guards to watch who they kill.

hope thats what you where looking for.

This is dsSharkk
Yeah it is coemu, and no i didnt rename my guards. They are still called Guard1.

well check the source for what there old name is then coz if its coemu someones renamed them and if the name on the source doesnt match the ones on the tables on sql theres no setting to tell them not to act like a monster :P ide tell u where exactly but ive changed soo much of my coemu i dont think it would help you sorry.

That's the problem then.

Change them in Database to CoEmuGuard and CoEmuPatrol or change the source (all references) to what is in the database.

that's how the source determines how to handle if it's a guard or not (which is dumb, it should just use a isGuard bool to control it...

probably, you mistakenly altered your MobAttack function... check your code and try to compare it from coemu original code...

If that does not solve your problem look into player flashing. If you messed with the player flashing code that would do it as well. Even tho you player may not be flashing , the server might think you are, i did that before. :)

i dont think this can get more explained now :P do like us do Trial And Error.
hope it works.

Yeah thanks everyone, i fixed it! +1k to the guy that said it first.

Now a chance to get thanked one more time!! I got a new problem Oo
Probably just cause I've been out of the game for so long. K so um..when I try to add a new NPC in NPCTalk.cs the word "case" is underlined and i get the error
Control cannot fall through from one case label ('case 420:') to another.
WTF does that mean? Never got that before lols I've always added NPCs with ease ^^

Edit: Woot looks like I'll thank myself on this one!!
Just realized I forgot to end the case with a "break;" before starting a new one. LOL

check if there are other case 420 that exist already

case 420:
{

} break;
You're missing "break;" at the end.

EDIT: Seems that you've already got it working.

@tanelipe
Based the way I described my problem, there could have been many different reasons why I was getting the error. I think you saw my post (was hard to miss) on how I fixed it because I forgot to put break;. Now, in your post you gave me the right solution as if you knew it was going to work when rly there could have been a few reasons why I was getting that error. Also because in your post it says

But it doesn't say "post edited by tanelipe at x:xx" meaning you wrote the solution already knowing I solved it myself, thinking you would seem smarter?
So please don't try to make it look like your are helping when your not, thanks

P.S I didn't say you did this, I am saying I think you did.

It seems to be that if you edit your post within 1 minute of posting then it doesnt display that message.
