Why not just PR on OpenNos repo... honestly I feel like your time would be better used on something else than OpenNos.
I also honestly doubt that you’ll get other people than you developing anything. Most of people with enough skill to not just copy pasta or open 50 stupid threads are already working on their pserver project and will not share anything to the script kiddies here.

Uhm, actually i'm happy with any kind of help.
But there are some skilled people around with talents we don't even know about :D Or some people whose are willing to learn it.
It's actually not a waste of time, it's something i wanted to do for so long.

People who want to learn shouldn’t use OpenNos. The only reason to use OpenNos right now is if you want to open your server fast (aka open a server 1 month get money close start again).
If you don’t care about opening a server fast there are other projects a lot more interesting.

Instead of work to opennos that is a dead project (declared such by its authors) if u want to learn new stuff from a work in progress project, you can just look/help on NosCore.

Opennos will be outclassed from the work in progress project (NosWings and NosCore) so, why lose your time for something that u will never use more in some month/year?

That make rly no sense .-.

Just for be cleary... Im talking as Opennos Server Owner that already know his project will be closed when this others will be finished .-.

Hello, i want to do that because it was a promise to myself, and i have fun doing this. It's not because I want to create a Server. I dont really care what others do. I really enjoy working on OpenNos and also do other people.

Why not simply forking OpenNos on GitHub like it's supposed to work for Opensource projects ? :confused::confused:

This thread is ridiculous, making "OpenNos" great is not simply adding game features and fixing some bugs.
If you want to make something great, better write from scratch, OpenNos is full of bad practices and legacy code.
How much time it has to be repeated ? It's not a software designed as a game server, it was designed like a web api by web developers.

Most if not everything in OpenNos is so badly designed that users can exploit on most game features.

NosCore is designed like a Web API, like OpenNos, but it does not rely on legacy code, so yeah, it's a better project to work on, as someone that wants to learn.
(Which I HIGHLY doubt given that RualFX is the guy that is scamming people for some bucks)

Yeah, we also thought about using NosCore. We'll do 2 Versions.
You are right, bringing OpenNos to a state where it's pretty stable and completly enjoyable isn't something that will be easy. But like i said, we'll make the best out of it.

So, we basically started the work.

Currently we'll fix most of the existing bugs.

- Act 7 Parser (Done)
- New Login Packet (50% Done)
- Act 6 Wings of Friendship (if not Level 85+) (Done)
- Act 6 Enter (if not Level 85+) (Done)
- Act 6 Accept Return Point (if not Level 85+) (Done)
- Act 5 Amulet let's you return to NosVille
- If your Return Point is in Act 5-5.2, you can enter it from NosVille etc.
- Act 5 Return Point is makeable with the normal item, the Return Scroll (Desert) is needed for this
and much more. Like i said, we are still looking for some Developers. If you wanna participate, just join our Discord Server and let me know.
