Anti-Broadcasting detection??

So a few years back they outlawed key-cloning/broadcasting to many windows at once.

How is this detection done? Is it watching the same IP for multiple actions at suspicious timings (ie: proxies would get around this), or is it hardware ID based?

Also, could I get around this by simply delaying subsequent actions slightly? I'd really like to just multi-box 8 toons in PVE for isk making.
